Residential# Deck Remodel & New Rear Deck Construction **Scope of Work** Residential deck remodel and replacement project at 558 S. Fairview Ave., Elmhurst, IL. The project included demolition of the existing exterior deck and construction of a new approximately 343-square-foot rear deck. * Demolition and removal of the existing exterior deck, including decking, posts, stairs, and associated components. * Installation of new concrete footings, structural posts, beams, joists, composite decking, guardrails, and stair assemblies. * New ledger board connection to the existing structure with approved fasteners and proper flashing/waterproofing. * Use of pressure-treated or decay-resistant lumber for structural framing. * Installation of exterior-grade composite decking. * Construction of new stairs and guardrails to provide safe access and comply with applicable building codes. * Verification of existing structure and connection conditions prior to construction. * Electrical service conversion, including relocation of overhead service to underground service, panel relocation, and provisions for a 50A EV charging circuit. * Installation of a new garage power outlet and EV charger provisions. * Replacement of gutters and downspouts, including seamless aluminum gutters and new downspout connections. * Exterior improvements coordinated with the deck construction while maintaining the existing building footprint. * Work designed and constructed in accordance with applicable local building codes and regulations.
